A Month Focusing on “Being With”

It is now December. I would recommend you to focus on “staying” at times when youare busy, like the end of the year.

The center of Christmas is about the Son of God was born into our world. Theultimate purpose of this was not to do something, but to “be” with us. It is true that Hecame to deliver us from the power of sin, give us salvation, and was completed theCross to lead us into His eternal kingdom, but everything was for God to “be with us”.To be with is the beginning and the completion of Love.

Bible says, “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone,the new is here!” This means that if anyone is “to be with” Christ, God’s amazingpower shall come upon the person. To “be with” is very important for us.AICF Christmas ministry is to visit those who became homeless condition for variousreasons in the midnight cold streets and to spend time to “be with” them anyhow evenin limited time there. Many of AICF who took part in this ministry say their perspectivefor life has changed drastically. That is because when we are with someone with ourhearts there, it gives us an understanding that “to be with” is the form of love beingshown.

The reason why we are able to bring hope and encouragement in our Mission fieldsto those who are brokenhearted is because the Lord uses us that try to be with them. Itis not because of a well preached sermon or something nice words. If we placeourselves there, if we set our hearts there, God will use us as His vessel to bring HisLove because we are His. Let us be with Him always. Because He is always with us forHis glory as He said so.
