Because She was Special?

In this world, only special people are chosen. Being the same as others is not a reason to be chosen mostly. Therefore, those who want to be chosen will try very hard to appeal and make the best effort to be chosen. If you don’t develop your talent or optimize your ability, there is no way that you will be chosen without showing off. That is the common sense of this world that compares each other.

However, God does not do so when He chooses. God’s thoughts and standards are completely different from the world’s. God chose virgin Mary for His Son to be born. Since the world’s standards have become familiar to us, without a doubt, we think that she was chosen because she had greater faith than others. For this reason like this, we think that in order to be chosen by God for His special mission, we must have “special faith” like her.

When Mary was told that she would bear the Son of God from the angel, she was confused, afraid and not able to accept at first. She replied, “How could it be, since that I am a virgin?” It is unbelievable when God chooses us and speaks first. However, Mary chose to continuously listen to the words of God and chose to believe. This act of choosing to believe is faith.

And because Mary was obedient to the word she chose to believe, the word was accomplished in her life by the power of God. Yes, she chose to walk on the way to believe the word of “nothing impossible with God”, therefore she became very special!

She was not chosen because she was special. She became special because she chose to believe and walked with it. When we choose to believe the Word, that faith will make us something special. Hallelujah! Let us walk by faith in the Word of God!
