We use the road every day. However, they did not exist naturally. Somebody planned, constructed, and maintains it. Not having a road, means not being able to survive. Even if we owned a nice car, if the roads weren’t well-paved, it would do us no good. Actually, even if not paved, but there were no roads, we could not get anywhere. This does not come to our attention very often because the roads nowadays are well-constructed and we take them for granted.

When the road is wrecked, we realize how important it is. If the road in front of your house could not be used due to construction, how inconvenient your life would become! If a flood or earthquake happens and the road cannot be used, it will bring you many hindrances. Because the road is there, we can come and go, transport our needs, and invite and visit people. It is a wonderful thing that the road leads us to our destination.

Jesus said, “I am the Way.” He is the Living Way. Jesus used the Cross as a tool to connect the tunnel of death to life. Not only that but also as the bridge that connects our life on earth to heaven! What a great construction He made by the Cross! This way was not made from concrete or asphalt that eventually breaks or decays. It will never be lost because Jesus Himself is the Way. It is the way that will lead us to our ultimate destination, the glory of God!

Jesus is the most certain way in our lives on earth, too. When we choose to trust in Him and go on His way, though at times it may seem like there’s no way out, He will always open the way for us to His glory. This month, let’s walk in the way with Jesus!
