What do you live for? For feeling good you may say, “for Church” or “for God”. For your own self-satisfaction, you may say, “to Pray” or “to Praise”. Or to accomplish your dream and vision of this world that makes you feel great? Or do you try not to think about any complicated matter but just to eat and drink what you want and enjoy an easy life? All these things are things that at the moment, may feel good and enjoyable but soon let you feel vain and gone.
We all die one day. At that time, we are mostly not free we cannot eat what we want but rather we must eat tasteless food or inject nutriment with heavy painful uncomfortable conditions. We cannot go where we want but we are put into a small room of treatment that bound us like a prisoner. Your successful experiences are not so helpful there and your big title will not work out. Who will be there around you? At that time, it will show you for whom you have lived for.
Are you living for Christ? Living for Christ means to live seeking God’s righteousness. It is helping the weak, giving generously to the poor, standing with the oppressed, comforting the grief, loving the destitute, and blessing the people always. In that life, you may know life, seek God more, and realize what Christ's love is.
What are we living for? Living for God’s righteousness and His love is not so easy but tough. However, there's true worth and it is certain. When the time of dying comes, we will not lose our hearts or panic but rather stay in peace there and even bless the people around us and teach them what the meaning of life is, and be ready to go into heaven as living testimony of Christ. Let us live for Christ.
