Activate the Relationship

Our relationship with God the Father has been restored due to the fact that Jesus the Son, who we accepted, has completed the cross for our sin in our place. Perhaps it would make more sense to us if we say we are able to have a new relationship with God instead of it being restored.

Being able to have a personal relationship is a special thing. The reason is that this truth that we can have a relationship with Him is the foundation of all our human relationship to be healthy. We must keep our personal relationship with God special. Through this relationship, our hearts are satisfied; therefore, we can truly give, forgive, bless, and love.

However, it is not enough for us to just have this “relationship”. A relationship is a living being. Therefore, we must deepen and grow the relationship. Even if we met someone, talked to them, and established a new relationship where we could trust each other, if we didn’t continue to be in touch and didn’t contact them for years, that person would become a part of our past and wouldn’t be on our list to cultivate a relationship with.

Even if we had a relationship with God but didn’t pray, listen to His words, or worship Him from our hearts, unfortunately, that relationship is not activated but almost dead. Without a relationship that is active, nothing will come from God. But fortunately, if we turn back to seek a healthy relationship with God, He will be patient with us. If we desire to have an active relationship with Him, He will welcome us, and through prayer and scriptures, He will restore us.

This month we had Infant Benediction for one month old baby. Is his relationship with his mother active? Of course! They are always close and their hearts and bodies are contacted and communicated. A relationship is not established just by words, but it is also by keeping our hearts close to each other.
