“Forever”?

“Forever” is a word that is used in various situations in this world. And in many cases, people are delighted by the usage and agrees. That is because there is an “eternal nature” in human as we were created in the image of God is eternal. However, as a result of the sin in opposing to God the Creator, we became beings that do not exist in “forever”. This is the measure of wisdom that God has taken for sin to never enter “forever”. Therefore, unfortunately, or fortunately, we who have sin have nothing to do with forever. We decay, are temporal, changing, and mortal. At weddings of this world, everybody vows “everlasting love” seriously at that moment, but that is soon forgotten, revoked, or at times turn into hatred. If such things happen and love is lost, it would be difficult and stressful to stay together. If we had to spend a lifetime with such a person “forever” life would become like living in hell. There are no other beings that is deserved as “forever” than God. No, God Himself is forever. God neither decays, ages nor changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Forever can only be sustained, maintained, and ruled over by His governance with His authority. Life and death are completely controlled and sovereign under Him. Those who accept the Son of God will be transferred into the world of eternal light, and those who reject Him will be in darkness. Let’s always remember that this world is only temporal and that we are in this world to prepare ourselves for the world that is to last forever. In this world, nothing is forever. Both good things and bad things are temporal. They will be gone soon or later.
