Moving From Heaven

Christmas is the day to celebrate the historical fact that the Son of God moved fromHeaven to the earth. According to the will of the Father God, Jesus Christ came downfrom Heaven, sinless holy perfect world, to the imperfect wicked sinful world.

　People desire to move to a better place from the present environment. Peoplewould never want to move from a wonderful place to an inferior poor dirty place.Jesus Christ, however, the King of Heaven chose poor young human couple as Hisparents and moved into a manger of dusty livestock house.

　People have reasons to move such as for the job or better housing or niceenvironment. The moving demands a lot of cost and sacrifice. If there is no sufficientreason, people will never move by going through troublesome tasks in vain. Thereason that we move is for our own benefit. So, what was the reason of Jesus’ moving?What was God’s benefit?

　The reason of Jesus’ moving from heaven to this world was to show His love andHis righteousness on earth. Jesus came to spread His Father’s glory to the world thatcovered with hopelessness and darkness. Yes, the reason was to accomplishthe mighty work of the Cross. For that holy job, He moved.

Christians are the witnesses of the Cross that God’s holy work was accomplished.Let’s use this month of Christmas as an opportunity to testify His love and Hisrighteousness to our neighbors. That’s because certainly the Son of God came downand lives in us. And if we believe in Him, we will be able to move into Heaven indeed.
