What are We Focusing on?

We can see if we have eyes. But we cannot see everything. Our eye has the ability to see most things even in a dark place if there is a small light. However, we cannot see all things before our eyes. We can only see the thing we mainly focus on.

In front of our eyes, there are many things we can see. But the thing we focus on is the main thing we see. We focus on the thing we pay attention to. That is why, if we have no attention, even if there is something very good or precious, we miss seeing it because we do not focus on it. What do we pay attention to?

Tons of stuff in this world try to catch our attention. Colorful sales paper, noisy sound advertisements, movies, and films like a flashlight that seem interesting and attractive. Also negative news and critical comments we pay attention to although we don’t like them. When we focus on those kinds of things more and more, in our personal life also we are trained to focus on the negative and conspicuous matters. And we miss the simple big blessing and quite peaceful blessing there.

God asked men of God in the Bible, “What do you see?” He asks us today the same question, “What do you focus on?” There are many things in our world. We may complain if we focus on unpleasant things. But if we focus on Him always, we see the things around us differently. Even in the same world we live, yet we focus on the Lord and see the things, we feel the world like different. Jeremiah focused on God always that he could see things as God sees. Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus always! So that we can see many precious lives!
